The DJI Agras T50 is DJI’s coaxial twin-rotor drone for crop protection and granular spreading: 40 kg spraying or 50 kg spreading payload, front and rear phased array radars with binocular vision, and DB1560 batteries that recharge in 9-12 minutes.
DroneBase supplies the complete field setup: aircraft, batteries, charging, training and after-sales support, as an authorised DJI Enterprise dealer based in Italy.

What the DJI Agras T50 brings to a spraying operation
The DJI Agras T50 sits between the 20 kg class Agras T25 and the 100 kg class Agras T100. It suits contractors and larger farms that need real hectares per day without moving to a heavy-lift platform. One aircraft takes either the dual atomizing spraying system or the spreading system, so the same airframe covers crop protection in season and fertiliser or seed in other windows. Productivity comes from the workflow around it: fast-charging batteries, a charger that keeps up and a crew that sets dosage, swath and height for each crop.
How the Agras T50 spraying and spreading systems work
Spraying. The standard configuration carries two LX8060SZ sprinklers mounted 1,570 mm apart at the rear, fed by two pumps rated 0-12 L/min each, for a maximum of 16 L/min. Adding the Agras T50 Atomized Sprinkler Package brings the aircraft to four sprinklers and 24 L/min, the configuration DJI points to for dense orchard canopies that need higher volumes per hectare. Droplet size is set in the app through the rotating atomizer, so the operator can move from a fine spray to a coarser, drift-resistant droplet without changing hardware.
Spreading. The Agras T50 Spreading System replaces the spray tank with a 75 L hopper and a 50 kg internal load for dry granules from 0.5 to 5 mm: granular fertilisers, many seeds and granular products. DJI quotes an 8 m spread width and up to 108 kg/min with 4 mm urea. All payloads are measured at sea level; DJI indicates about 10 kg less spraying payload per 1,000 m of altitude, so plan with the payload the DJI Agras app recommends.
DJI Agras T50 productivity: reading the 21 ha/h figure
DJI states a spraying efficiency of up to 21 hectares per hour for the Agras T50, measured at 15 L/ha, 11 m spray width, 7 m/s and 3 m height. For spreading, DJI quotes up to 108 kg/min, about 1.5 tonnes per hour, with 4 mm urea. DJI notes that efficiency varies with environment and parameters.
In real fields, higher volumes per hectare (orchards and vineyards often need far more than 15 L/ha), narrow or irregular plots, headland turns, ferry distance and refill speed all reduce it. When we size a T50 project we start from the crop, the target volume and the field layout, then build the battery and charging plan, giving a realistic daily hectare figure.

In short: the T25 for small or fragmented plots, the T50 for contract spraying and mid to large farms, the T100 when daily acreage is high and you can support its 12,000 W charging station.
Where the Agras T50 works best
What a working DJI Agras T50 field kit includes
A T50 flies only as long as the ground side keeps up. The usual field rotation is one battery flying, one charging and one ready. DJI rates both the C10000 power supply and the D12000iE generator at 9-12 minutes per DB1560, depending on station altitude, a fast-charge-rated cable and a cell temperature between 15 °C and 70 °C. The number of batteries depends on payload, dosage and swath; we size it with you.
Away from mains, DJI’s D12000iE inverter generator provides 9,000 W DC charging, a 12 V supply for the air-cooled heat sink and a 230 V AC outlet. On mains, the C10000 needs both its main and auxiliary inputs (24 A max each at 220-240 VAC). Contact us for generator availability and cables.
Flying a DJI Agras T50 in the EU: what to check before the first job
Plant protection products. EU rules on the sustainable use of pesticides prohibit aerial spraying as a general principle, and Member States can grant derogations under specific conditions. How this applies to drones differs by country and is still evolving: whether, where and with which products you may spray depends on your national authorities and on each product label. Spreading fertiliser or seed is a different case, but national rules still apply.
Flight operations. With a takeoff weight of up to 92 kg for spraying and 103 kg for spreading, the T50 is well above the EASA Open category limits. Operations generally fall under the Specific category and need an operational authorisation from the national aviation authority, typically based on a risk assessment.
DroneBase can walk you through the operational and documentation path for your scenario; the final decision always rests with the competent authorities.

DJI Agras T50: spraying drone and spreader in one airframe
The DJI Agras T50 is a coaxial twin-rotor agricultural drone carrying 40 kg of liquid or 50 kg of granules. As a T50 spraying drone it delivers up to 24 L/min with four sprinklers and a 4-11 m swath; as a spreader it handles 0.5-5 mm granules at up to 108 kg/min. Front and rear phased array radars and binocular vision provide obstacle sensing and terrain follow, and the DB1560 battery recharges in 9-12 minutes. Compared with the Agras T25 it doubles the spray payload; compared with the Agras T100 it is lighter and easier to power in the field. DroneBase, an ISO 9001:2015 certified, authorised DJI Enterprise dealer and system integrator based in Italy, supplies the T50 with batteries, charging, spraying and spreading systems, training and after-sales support. Discover the DJI Agras T50 solution or contact us to size a field kit for your crops.
