Drones for logistics: complete delivery kits

DroneBase delivery combos are drone logistics kits that bring together a DJI aircraft, payload or drop system, batteries and charging in a single configuration. They cover two different needs: light loads and multiple drops with DJI Matrice 350 RTK, and loads of tens of kilograms with DJI FlyCart 30.

Drone logistics: what a delivery kit includes

In drone logistics the aircraft is only part of the system. Flying every day requires a payload system suited to the delivery point, enough batteries for the planned rotations, a charging station and repeatable procedures. The combos follow this logic: components already matched and tested together, to be completed with training and mission setup.

Available delivery combos

Kit Platform and payload system Best for List price
Combo Delivery FlyCart 30 DJI FlyCart 30 with winch system, C8000 charger and three DB2000 batteries loads up to 30 kg in dual-battery mode (40 kg single battery), mountain huts, construction sites, long legs €35,782 incl. 22% Italian VAT
Combo Delivery DJI Matrice 350 + PTS4 Four Drop Kit with FPV camera DJI Matrice 350 RTK with 4-load drop system, TB65 batteries and BS65 station several light drops in one mission, emergency response, first aid kits €16,385 incl. 22% Italian VAT
DJI Matrice 350 + Delivery Box Combo Delivery DJI Matrice 350 RTK with D-Box, BS65 station and four TB65 batteries light deliveries of goods that need protection, samples, documents, spare parts €13,939 incl. 22% Italian VAT

According to DJI, the Matrice 350 RTK has a maximum payload of 2.7 kg, and the weight of the box or drop kit counts towards that limit. Above that threshold the reference platform is FlyCart 30.

How to choose a drone logistics kit

  • Weight per parcel: a few kilograms on Matrice 350 RTK, more on FlyCart 30 or FlyCart 100.
  • Delivery point: landing with a box, lowering with a winch, or dropping at different points with a drop kit.
  • Distance and elevation: they drive batteries, safety margins and model choice.
  • Flight frequency: number of batteries and charging stations needed to keep rotations going.
  • Overflown area: people or infrastructure along the route may require a parachute and flight termination systems.

Where drone logistics is used

Supplying mountain huts and high-altitude sites, shuttles between plants or warehouses, spare parts to isolated facilities, emergency deliveries to areas that cannot be reached by road. These operations normally take place in the EASA Specific category, under an authorisation based on a SORA risk assessment or a PDRA.

For official cargo drone specifications and the FlyCart 30 vs FlyCart 100 comparison, see the DJI Delivery category. If you already own the drone and only need the payload or drop system, individual accessories are in the Delivery System category.

Drone logistics FAQ

What does drone logistics mean?

Using drones to carry goods on a planned basis between two points: supplies, spare parts, samples, emergency material. It requires aircraft, payload system, batteries, charging and authorised operating procedures.

Which combo for light loads?

For loads within the 2.7 kg limit of the DJI Matrice 350 RTK, including the payload system, consider the Delivery Box combo for goods that need protection or the PTS4 combo for several drops in one mission.

How much does a drone logistics kit cost?

List prices: DJI Matrice 350 + Delivery Box combo €13,939, Matrice 350 + PTS4 combo €16,385 and Combo Delivery FlyCart 30 €35,782, all including 22% Italian VAT. Training and custom configurations are defined in the quote.

What is included in the Combo Delivery FlyCart 30?

The DJI FlyCart 30 drone with winch system, the C8000 charger, three DB2000 batteries and a 12-month warranty.

Do I need an authorisation for drone logistics?

Yes, carrying and dropping goods generally takes place in the Specific category, with an operational authorisation based on SORA or a PDRA. With FlyCart, above 25 kg takeoff weight, the Open category does not apply anyway.

Can I add a delivery system to a drone I already own?

Yes, D-Box, dropping kits and smart winches are available for Matrice 350, Matrice 400, Matrice 4, Mavic 3 Enterprise and DJI Dock 3 in the Delivery System category. We check compatibility and remaining payload.
